Our founder, Yola Guz: Passion and Leadership in Floral Art and Empowerment
Yola Guz began her career in floral design in the Dominican Republic at age 19 and has since accumulated extensive experience in the industry. She has owned flower shops, worked as an educator in Miami, and is an active member of the prestigious American Institute of Floral Designers (AIFD).
In 2010, together with her husband, she founded the Yola Guz School of Floral Design in Miami, training students from all over Florida and internationally, many of whom have since started their own successful businesses. That same year, she created the Yola Guz Si Se Puede Foundation, with the mission of empowering Dominican women by offering them training to achieve financial independence through floral art.
Additionally, Yola and her husband are founders of the Doral Flower and Art Festival, an event celebrating floral creativity and beauty in “The City of Flowers.”
With a clear vision, Yola Guz continues to transform lives and communities with the power of floral design and social commitment.
